What we collect, and what we do with it
The short version: we collect what you type into the quote form, we share it only with the studios we match you with, and one email removes it. No ad trackers, no data sales, no surprises.
What we collect
When you request a quote we store what you submit: your name, your email address and the details of your project. If you arrived from a link with campaign tags, we also record where you came from, so we know which pages are useful. If you email us, we keep the correspondence.
Who sees it
Your request and your email address go to the two or three vetted studios we match you with, and to nobody else. Some of those studios are outside the UK and the EU, in places like Poland, the United States or Sri Lanka; we tell you which studios received your request. Behind the scenes, the data sits with the services that run this site: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database, EU region) and Resend (email). We never sell or rent your data, and we never use it for advertising.
Analytics and cookies
We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and anonymous: it counts visits without identifying you or following you across the web. We set no cookies. If you arrive through a tagged link, the tag is kept in your browser's session storage and disappears when you close the tab.
How long we keep it
Quote requests are kept while we work on them and for our records of what happened afterwards, because knowing which introductions worked is how the directory gets better. Ask us to delete yours at any time and we will.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. One email to hello@thebrushguild.com does it, answered by the same person who runs the directory. If you are in the UK you can also complain to the ICO, though we would rather fix it first. Questions about how studios handle your data once you are talking to them directly belong to those studios; their details are on their profiles. See also who runs The Brush Guild.
